How to: Mini Spring Makeover - What's Inside the March Favorite Things Box

We are feeling all the spring vibes at This New Old House and we are ready for a little spring mini make-over at a spot in your kitchen where I guarantee you spend a lot of your time…the kitchen sink! Why not make it a space that brings you joy! Right!?!!

Included in this months box are some easy things you can do to make this space aesthetic and a spot you will maybe even have fun doing the dishes!

You know I love supporting local small businesses with my Favorite Things including 4 local makers you’ll find in this month’s box.

Here’s what’s inside the March Favorite Things Box:

#1 – Amber Soap Bottles - Let’s talk about the dish soap bottles that you need but are really not attractive! We are going to make them adorable with amber colored pump bottles. You won’t see the color of your dish soap through the amber bottles to throw off the neutral palate of this kitchen sink make over with the neon green or blue soap. I love this small change that makes a big impact!!!

#2 - Hands & Dishes Stickers - To add to the adorableness of your new soap bottles, we are adding HANDS and DISHES stickers. These are from local maker Weronika from WerkaCo in Mountain View, CA. Follow the easy DIY instructions for application.

#3 - Wooden Dough Bowl - I have been wanting to add a wooden dough bowl to my décor for forever and I finally found the perfect spot to use one...and now you have one too! Place your new amber bottles in the bowl for your finished soap tray display. How cute is this?!!

#4 - Kitchen Towel- To freshen up the space for spring, we are going to add a Swedish dishtowel from Doe a Deer in Stuart, IA in an adorable lemon and orange pattern. The owner Regan hand draws all of her dishtowel designs.

#5 - Spring Burst Room Spray - Because you can have some pampering while you are doing the dishes, we are going to add a little room spray from Ada Acres in Linden, IA. This scent is called spring burst. It is an energizing blend of citrus and herbal greens of mint and lavender with a small pop of vanilla. REFRESHING!

Enjoy all the things in this month's SPRING box!!! And, stay tuned to see the fun coming in April’s GARDEN themed box...I am ready for some dirt therapy, how about you?!!

If you missed out on the March Spring Vibes box and want to grab one for yourself or to give your kitchen sink a mini-makeover, I have a very limited number of additional boxes available here for you!

If you want to join the monthly box adventure with us {because you deserve to pamper YOU more!!!}, you can learn more and sign up for the monthly Favorite Things Box Club here.

HINT: The theme of the April box is GARDEN and the items included are my must-have’s for gardening season! I can’t wait for you to get it and for the 2024 gardening season to begin!!!

From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU for being here and following along on This New Old House!!! I absolutely love hearing from you all after you get your monthly boxes, how excited you are to open them, and how you are using or gifting the items inside. The boxes are meant to be a celebration and self hug in each box…and it makes my heart happy to see this happening with each box that goes out!

XOXO, Rebecca
